Being concerned toward people’s capacity in performing their religious duty, and toward the education for the orphans and the paupers, has leads Al Azhar’s Peduli Ummat to persist in searching for collaboration among corporate and institution due to managing donation. The purpose was no other than to help those unfortunate in society, especially the orphan children and poor peoples.

This effort of improving worship quality and the education for orphans and the paupers, had good welcomed by FIF Syariah. Thus, through their social fund distribution, FIF Syariah donates amount of Rp. 355 million to the Amil Zakat of Al-Azhar Peduli Ummat (the finance division of the foundation)

The entrusted funds are purposed to be allocated in the three programs runs by Al-Azhar Peduli Ummat, they are Musholla For Sale Program (the praying hut development program), Benah Madrasah Program (the Islamic school renovation program) and the Rumah Gemilang Indonesia Program (the Shiny Home of Indonesia Program – a dormitory and classroom development program for orphans/pauper).

From tight selection, for the Mushollah For Sale Program, it was chosen the Musholla Assolihin at Jati Sari hamlet of Jajar village at Bojonegoro Resident of East Java, and a praying hut (not named yet) at Muneng hamlet of Betang village in Jatinom, Klaten of Central java, both by budget fund of around 150 million rupiahs. For the Benah Madrasah Program, there were four Islamic schools selected in the island of Borneo. They were Madrasah Al Hidayah in Basirih Dalam of South Kalayan sub district of Banjarmasin in South Kalimantan, Madrasah Haruniah in Tambelan Sampit sub district of East Pontianak district in West Kalimantan, Madrasah Darul Huda at Pulau Petak district of Kapuas regency in Central Kalimantan, and Madrasah Sabilul Rasyad in North Samarinda Kota sub district of East Kalimantan. The total fund for this program was around 105 millions rupiahs in cash. As for the 100 millions rupiahs of the entrusted fund, the allocation was dedicated to the development of Rumah Gemilang Indonesia in Pengasinan of Sawangan, Depok, West Java.

”It is hoped that this social donation of FIF Syariah could be distributed well and in target,” said Suhartono, the President Director of FIF.

The synergy between this two institution was expected to be able to motivate other corporate and institutions, of which vision and mission stands for goodness among others, to join forces and give their best donation. So that Al-Azhar Peduli Ummat can be an extension for other corporate, and institutions, in socializing the values of sharing with others.

”Lets brought about the true love of God through ZIS fund. May this synergy in caring the pauper could persist well and gives benefit for the pauper and for the both party,” said Anwar Sani, the Executive Director of Lembaga Amil Zakat of Al-Azhar Peduli Ummat.
